Twitter has been gaining a lot of attraction in the media at the start of 2009, and while it has been about for a while, it looks like 2009 could be the year when Twitter really hits the mainstream.
A few celebrities have joined the Twitter craze, while a few have had their names hijacked by other people pretending to be them. To help catch the fakers, Jonathan Ross has appointed himself the Number One Twitter Detective and has set about debunking the fakes. Jonathan also updates his own very funny Twitter account which can be followed here (@Wossy)
This week Jonathan confirmed that the Jack Dee on twitter is a fake and the profile was swiftly pulled by whoever was using it.

Here hoping that now the fake has been unmasked that Jack Dee does decide to start twittering himself. Jonathan is also currently pestering Jeremy Clarkson and Russell Brand to join up.
